The South West Coastal Path - passes right outside our door. Beautiful scenic walks along the coast to Bude or Tintagel. Luggage transfer service and packed lunches are available. The best way to enjoy the wonderful coastal scenery, wildlife and heritage.
Tintagel Castle - is just a short distance from the Coombe Barton Inn and is well worth a visit. Tintagel Castle is famous for its association with the legend of King Arthur, who was said to be born on Tintagel Island where the remains of the 13th century Castle stand today.
Boscastle - nestles in a scenic rocky inlet just a stones throw away. Visitors usually head for the harbour but there is far more to discover in this unique place. Visit the potter demonstrating his fascinating Mochaware technique, the world famous Museum of Witchcraft housing an outstanding collection of witchcraft related artefacts, the Old Mill with its working wheel and unique shops on each floor or the artist in residence at the Old Forge.
Port Isaac - is a picturesque village close, made famous for the filming of the popular ITV series Doc Martin, although the village has a fictional name of 'Portwenn'.
